About Evansville
Evansville is a city in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, located on a bend of the Ohio River in the southwestern part of the state. Founded in 1812 and incorporated in 1817, it has a population of about 116,441. The area has a long history, with the Angel Mounds settlement nearby dating back to AD 1000.
