Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information CMAiNow (cmainow.com) collects and how it is used. CMAiNow is operated by Creative Marketing AI. For our marketing services and client portal, see the Creative Marketing AI privacy policy at creativemarketing.ai/privacy.

Information you send us

When you use a form on the Site or email [email protected], we receive what you choose to send:

• Your name, email address and phone number (optional).
• The venue you are asking about and your message.
• The contents of any email you send us.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and our security provider record technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. We use this to run and protect the Site.

At the time of writing, CMAiNow does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics. If that changes we will update this page.

Location

The website does not ask for your location on its own. If you choose a home location, either by picking a town or by tapping "Use my current location", we save it in a cookie on your device so the site can remember it and show you what is nearby. The cookie holds the place name, the distance you chose, and the coordinates of that town or of the spot your browser shared. Your browser asks for permission before it shares your position, and you can say no and pick a town instead.

The cookie is sent to our server with your page requests so we can tailor the page. We do not store your location in our database, build a profile from it or share it. You can clear it at any time on the home location page, or by deleting the cookie in your browser.

Venue apps and notifications

Some venues offer an installable app on CMAiNow. If you turn on notifications inside a venue app, your browser gives us a notification address (an endpoint and encryption keys) for that one venue. We store it only so that venue can send you event updates, and we do not link it to your name, email or location.

You can turn notifications off at any time in your device or browser settings. Notifications are never turned on without your permission.

Ask CMAiNow (AI assistant)

When you use the Ask CMAiNow assistant, your question, the answer, and the coordinates of your saved home location (if any) are saved without your name or contact details, tied only to one-way codes made from a random cookie (cmn_ai) and your network address. We use them to limit each person to a fair number of questions a day and to fix problems. They are deleted after 30 days.

Your question and our current event and venue listings are sent to an AI model (Anthropic Claude, through OpenRouter) to write the answer. Do not type personal details into it. AI answers can be wrong, so check with the venue before you go.

Reviews and ratings

Anyone can rate a venue. If you do, we store your star rating, your comment and the first name you choose to show (all optional except the rating), and a one-way code made from the venue, your network address and your browser type. We use that code only to stop the same browser from reviewing the same venue twice; we cannot turn it back into your address.

A person at CMAiNow reads each review before it is published. We reject reviews that contain links, advertising, personal details, abuse, or that appear to be written by the venue, its staff or a competitor. We do not reject a review only because it is negative, and venues cannot pay for, edit or remove reviews.

To have your review taken down, email us at the address on the contact page and tell us which venue and roughly when you posted it.

Venue and event information we publish

The Site shows business information, such as a venue name, address, phone number, website and event details. It comes from venues and from public sources. This is business contact information, and it is not collected from visitors.

How we use information

• To answer your questions and handle listing claims, corrections and removal requests.
• To run, secure and improve the Site.
• To keep business records and meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We use service providers to operate CMAiNow, and they process information only for that purpose:

• Cloudflare for security, caching and performance.
• Our hosting provider for the servers the Site runs on.
• Supabase for the database of venues and events.
• Resend and Google Workspace for sending and receiving email.

How long we keep it

We keep emails and form submissions as long as needed to handle your request and keep normal business records. Server logs are kept for a short time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email [email protected] and we will respond. We may need to confirm who you are first. Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed or lost.

Children

CMAiNow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The new version will be posted here with a new date.
