About O'Fallon
O'Fallon, Illinois, is a city in St. Clair County with a population of about 32,000. Founded in 1854 and named after Colonel John O'Fallon, the town grew around a Baltimore and Ohio Railroad depot that attracted German settlers. Incorporated as a village in 1874, it became a city in 1905. O'Fallon is known for its proximity to Scott Air Force Base, a long history of coal mining, and hosting the largest Veterans Day parade in the area.
