About Evansville
Evansville, Indiana, is located in Vanderburgh County along a bend of the Ohio River in the southwestern part of the state. Founded in 1812 and incorporated in 1817, it has a population of about 116,000. The area has a rich history dating back at least 10,000 years, with the Angel Mounds settlement nearby, occupied from AD 1000 to 1400.
