About Bowling Green
Bowling Green is a city in Warren County, Kentucky, with a population of about 73,600. Founded in 1798, it served as the provisional capital of Confederate Kentucky during the Civil War. Located along the Barren River in south-central Kentucky, the city grew through steamboat commerce and railroad connections. Today, Bowling Green is known for the Chevrolet Corvette assembly plant, which has produced all Corvettes since 1981, and Western Kentucky University.
